Caroline Shotton in Bournemouth
Nigel and Ysanne meet Caroline Shotton, one of the UK’s fastest selling contemporary artists at Westover Gallery in Bournemouth on Friday 30th October 2009 when she launched the new ‘Moovin’ collection.
Caroline Shotton’s new collection is currently on display in the gallery and depicts homely-looking cows in a range of settings – from ‘Dairy Milk’, which depicts a cow bursting through a chocolate bar wrapper, to a topical and poignant look at the credit crunch in ‘Cash Cow’ with a devious cow’s head appearing on a giant, crumpled American dollar bill.
Caroline told us “I have been fascinated by cows from an early age and have always yearned to captivate their intriguing, enigmatic expressions.”
